About Us

What We Do

The Field Office helps a small group of poets speak to the larger world. By simplifying speaking and travel logistics and offering clear lines of communication, The Field Office lays the important groundwork for creative conversations and meaningful experiences. If you have an interest in hosting a writer virtually or in person, we'd love to be in touch with you. Contact us here.

Who We Are

Vaughan Ashlie Fielder is the founder of The Field Office. She began her work for Nikky Finney in 2010, work that led to the creation of this office in 2013. With a background in library and information science, Vaughan currently works closely with seven poets to assist with calendar maintenance, event management, travel booking, website design, and more. You may learn more about those seven poets here. Vaughan also makes chapbooks and broadsides with her partner through Weight of Bees; she works in the garden, spends time with her family, and explores letterpress & analog photo processes. She lives in Lexington, Kentucky.
